As well as organising our programme of national and european, our specialist conference development team deliver ‘tailor-made’ events for a range of organisations across the public, third and not-for-profit sectors.
CIVIC Events assists with the initial content development stage right through to managing the practical requirements on the day. Our team adopts a ‘hands-on’ approach, working to understand the clients’ objectives for a particular event and working with key stakeholders to understand the context and target audience.
The development team benefits from the expertise of senior consultants in its sister companies, CIVIC Agenda, CIVIC Regeneration, RegenerateIT and Market Squared who assist with the development of each new event where appropriate.
Launch of Bradford District Economic Strategy
CIVIC Events was recently appointed to work with Bradford Metropolitan District Council to launch a new economic vision for Bradford setting out how the city and District will play a vital role in the regional economy.
CIVIC Events secured the attendance of key national players including Ian Watmore, Permanent Secretary at the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills as well as coordinating invitations to national, regional and city business and public sector leaders. Over 150 delegates attended on the day as well as a number of exhibitors profiling initiatives going on in the Bradford District.
Understanding the local politics of the area as well as responding to the objectives of key stakeholders groups around the District was a key part of ensuring that the event went well and securing that ‘buy-in’ of key corporate, public and third sector leaders in response to the new strategy.
